| CURRENT NOVEL PROJECT--The first book in the original series: "The Lost Secret of Fairies: The Crystal Keeper Chronicles Book 1". This novel has stemmed from a short story based on my own childhood fantasies and research on fairy legends and myths. It is currently my first long term work. It is the first book in a series based on the heritage and legends of fairies. The second book, "The Lost Secret of the Green Man" was released Dec. 2009. The paperback was released in Jan. 2010. Can Wanda be friends with a new Keeper, keep up her grades, and fight the shadow sorcerer Balkazaar? Can the Green Man help with the new problem of bees dying through out the Fairy World? Out next year, this book will be a continuation of the series that helps give a new twist to fairies. They're not always full of sugar and spice. Real life problems are intertwined to help readers deal with pre-teen issues while enjoying a fantasy realm of fairies far beyond the Tinkerbell level. The third book in the series, "The Lost Secret of Dragonfire" is being worked on right now. I am currently writing the first manuscript this fall. As I progress through it, revisions will happen next year with a tentative release in 2012. Wanda is already facing new problems proposed by her little brother and her new friend, Edina. I don't want to give away too much, except that their are dwarves popping into the story. Dragons are just around the corner.
The main character, Wanda, is lead into a secret world of fairies where she discovers they are in trouble. The fairies are dying from pollution in the world of humans, and need her help to bring back a cure. She becomes the new Keeper of the Fairy World, the child that helps the fairy queen and local nation of fairies. She sets off with her cat and friend fairies to get the powerful spring water, but has to face her fears and build her self confidence as a new hero of fairy, just like in the books she loves to read. |
